If Einstein can have a desk like that, I don’t feel so bad about leaving mine messy, either.

Albert Einstein’s Office in Princeton on His Last Day

Albert Einstein died on April 18th, 1955. Photographer Ralph Morse was allowed to take the last snapshot of Albert Einstein study in Princeton as Einstein left it.

Updated Forest Park map.  Haven’t really been focusing on the new bits lately, might put some more effort into over the next few weeks.

I should wear a suit more often. Also, I need to find a race car to work on in said suit.

Apple certainly had a lot on its plate Wednesday. In addition to releasing iOS 5, the company also released iCloud as well as three new iOS apps. It also updated several existing iOS and Mac apps, released Mac OS X 10.7.2 and Safari 5.1.1, and even updated the firmware for its Apple TV set-top box. That’s a lot of software to be pushing live at once, even for a company Apple’s size.

Still doing better than RIM.

For some reason, I think this image for their invite is really clever.  It’s the standard iOS icons, but they convey all the information of the event.  Slick.

Today I got up, had a shower and my muscles felt stiff so I shall not run today.

Patrick Makau, after setting a world record in the marathon.  I guess he deserves at least a day off.

After running in the same pair of sunglasses since 7th grade (my whole running career, actually), I think they finally have one crack too many.
When I think about all the races I ran with those sunglasses on, and all the beautiful trails I ran on, I actually get a little sentimental.  A fair proportion of the light coming into my eyes has passed through those lenses, certainly some of the most memorable.
I have other sunglasses, but it just won’t be the same without my 7th grade Oakley Minutes.  These are not going in the garbage, but have rather earned a spot next to all the medals, bib numbers, and spikes I keep around.  Of any other bit of memorabilia, these sunglasses have been with me through the most of it.

Took a nice little flight.  Love how their first reaction is laughter.

And I didn’t even realize this when I first posted it, but this was at Lake Sammamish St. Park.  Yay Issaquah!

“I’ve met a lot of distance runners, and a lot of them are weird as hell.”

Pretty much.
